Amanae Europe Privacy Policy – May 2018
Amanae Europe as headed by Eric Lipin takes the security and privacy of its customers very seriously. I do not share any information with third parties, nor do I collect or retain any information other than that necessary for me to provide my services to you and to maintain contact with you as appropriate.
What do I collect and why
If you have come for an individual session, workshop or training, you may recall I collect some information about any medical conditions or medications that you take. I note any major issues in your life that you chose to reveal.
I collect this information for two reasons : a) to not work in areas that should not receive pressure and b) to help me understand what events and patterns are affecting your well-being, and to work accordingly to best meet your needs. I write this down the first time we meet and in subsequent sessions so I can keep track of whats working, whats not and find useful suggestions for you as we go along.
I hold this information in a notebook and in a database as well when I’m not using it or have it on my person when I’m working so it’s security is never compromised.
I also store your contact information in my computer and on a secure online database so I can call/email you about appointments or with information I have promised.
I keep track of the dates of every session that you have had with me.
I keep your contact data to be able to correspond with you only if we have worked together in a session, workshop, or training. If you have subscribed to my newsletter I use it to communicate with you that way too.
Use of personal information
I will use your personal information necessary to provide our services to you. I do not share any information with unrelated third parties nor do I collect or retain any information other than as required for the provision of our services. Information collected will be stored securely and securely destroyed if it is no longer required by me.
Marketing communications
By signing up to receive my newsletter you are consenting to receive marketing communications from me about news, upcoming events and special offers. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email or by emailing eric@amanaeeurope.com with ‘unsubscribe’ in the subject line.
My newsletter software, Mailchimp, requires me to track what emails you open and links that you click.
Cookies
My website uses cookies that don’t collect uniquely identifying information but assist in the website experience to the user. The same applies to google analytics cookies. Neither uniquely identify an individual but both are a necessary piece of functionality for the smooth running of my website
Subject Access Request
Under GDPR, individuals have a right to request what data is held on them (known as Subject Access Request). I am obliged to provide this info within 30 days. Please contact eric@amanaeeurope.com for access to your information.
Third parties
I may collaborate with third party contractors (e.g. other teachers and therapists) to perform services for me, those third party contractors may be required to handle your personal information. Under these circumstances, those third party contractors must safeguard this information and must only use it for the purposes for which it was supplied, and this is made explicit before anything is shared. I am not responsible for ensuring this. Other than the above, I will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless disclosure is either necessary to prevent a threat to life or health, authorized or required by law, reasonably necessary to enforce the law or necessary to investigate a suspected unlawful activity.
Security of information
Personal information collected by me and my website are stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public. I will protect your personal information no matter where I process or store your data.
Changes to this policy
From time to time, it may be necessary to review and revise this policy. I reserve the right to change the policy at any time and, should this occur, the amendment will be posted on the website https://amanaeeurope.com.
